Brief Biography

After receiving the Ph.D. degree from University of Athens, Dimitrios Katselis joined as postdoc the Automatic Control and Signal Processing Laboratories at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden (Dec. 2010-Dec. 2012). He then held an appointment as Senior Researcher with the Automatic Control Laboratory at KTH (Jan. 2013-Oct. 2013). He was DVCR International Visiting Researcher with the University of Newcastle, Australia (Nov.-Dec. 2013). He joined the Coordinated Science Lab at University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in February 2014, where he is now lecturer and research associate. He currently works on machine learning problems with a focus on big data and bio applications. His general research interests lie in the intersection of machine learning, stochastic systems and control, information theory, system identification, signal processing and networking.
